ETO install questions

Am ready to begin my ETO install. Downloaded all files & instructions to desktop for installation. My computer HD is partitioned with "C" being the OS section & "F" containing programs, documents, etc. I can force the path for installation of Combat Flight Simulator to "F", but how can I make the updates 3.1 & 3.1a go to the same path? Should I setup the CFS 3 folder in "C" , install updates, download ETO 1.0 & 1.2 and then move the whole file to "F" to conserve space on "C"?
I intend to install MAW as well.
I understand the multiple installs approach as I have several in CFS 2 that work great. Just thought I would try CFS 3 ETO & MAW.

:kilroy:Highpockets, do the simplest thing possible. Yes, install CFS3 completely to C, updates included, then move it to F.

ETO and MAW can be installed safely to F as long as CFS3 is on F, too. Install them using the CFS3 on F.

If you don't already have it, I very highly recommend the ETO Installaion Guide found in Post #1 of this thread: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?t=22434

After you have installed ETO on F, you will need to modify two *.bat files. This procedure is called out in the Guide.

ETO expansion

I have gone throught the process, but when I try to find the CFS 3 Expansion mission builder( page12 of instrucions) when I open to properties I do not get the same screen..
I just get "general, shortcut & compatibility". The target reads C:\Programs\Microsoft Games CFS3 ETO Expansion\mb\mb.exe
What did I miss??
 
You're using XP, the screenshot is from Windows 7. You haven't missed a thing, just check the Target and Start In entries are correct.

If you've installed ETO to a different drive, both entries will have to be updated.
