ETO locked in era 1

Well I have done it again.:kilroy: My ETO game is locked in era 1 and I can't figure how to get it going in other eras, even the start up icone doesnt give me access to the era selections in the ETOEraSwapper.bat.
Help is needed here.:jump:
 
Have you tried to start the game using ETO_MASTERETOSTARTUP.bat ? I make a shortcut and actually found it easier to use that than the cfs3.exe.
 
Yes tried that but still no success,will try again before doing a reinstall...bugger!:blind:
 
Check and rename folders manually, you may have one of them that was ope when you switched from an era to another some time ago, preventing it to rename automatically.
 
Don't dump your set up yet..
there are tools in ETO 1.40 to help with this..

CFS3 ETO Expansion ORIFs Re-Install Rev 1.0 Application (In ETO 1.40)

also in the," CFS3 ETO Expansion READMEs folder"
is all the information needed to reinstall ETO 140 without losing your personnel set up..

The uisel file in the application data folder will need to be deleted also..
 
I am sorry to report that nothing works. since last week when I installed the TuneUp utilities program the era swapper in my ETO game stopped working. Ever since I have tried several reboots using the ORIFs Re-Install REV1.0 or 1.4.exe whit no success. I have also tried reloading the game from scrach afther saving my data on a disck and even then the new version will not swap eras.
Does anyone have the TuneUp utilities program on their rigg ang have the ETO game running with the era swapper working?
 
I am happy:jump: to report that I have solved the era swapper issue thanks to Hairyspin tutorial:salute::salute:.
There is much rejoicing:icon_lol:
 
When reloading the game i had to modify the security in the MASTERETOSTARTUP file in order to gain access via my user name,and Voila!

Same Problem - Stuck in ETO ERA 1

I've got the same problem with a complete re-install of ETO in a new Windows 8 PC. I did HairySpin's corrective actions but no luck. Anyone else also stuck in ERA 1 with Windows 8?
 
Win 8 seems to be a problem for many folks using CFS3 ??
Hope you can get this sorted out..
I am using Win 7..
No idea about Win 8
