ETO Theatre Install

While I am back again.

I re-installed my clean CFS3 root file and downloaded a new ETO Theatre.

I loaded the ETO and a copy of my CFS3 in the Program folder.

I opened the "MultiCFS3.exe to name it to "CFS3 ETO Expansion, but dialogue box showed "Unable to modify file.

This is exactly the same problem when I loaded the ETO and CFS3 in the "Problem(x86) folder.

What am I doing wrong or simply "Srewing Up?"

OS?
Explain what you mean by "loaded"?
Did you not
a) Install a vanilla CFS3 + 2 updates + unmentionable in the program x86 file?
b) Install ETO in the root C dive?

Follow the install instructions given in the sticky thread above to the letter. What is your OS ? Did you install all updates ? Need more info to help.

suppose you're running in under windows 7 or 8 0r 10, run the multicfs.exe as admin. Always setting compatibility to "xp sp3".

Same goes for the main cfs3.exe as well as for the config.exe.....

windows 10 and ETO

I solved all my problems by doing one thing. Stay away from program files please.
I put all my files in Microsoft Games\ Combat Flight Simulator 3..No problems installing upto 1.5. Give it a try. Avoids editing problems you get using program files.
