Evening Flight

Have you tweaked your config for the blurries?

What i should say is what are your specs? Have you done any tweaking in the config....???

ah thanks, will look into that provided avsim is actually up for a change. :)

search avsim and flightsim for 'autostarx'

it has several features including adding comets, brightening the stars, and also a feature that connects the stars of the constellations (its not a realistic effect to see a series of bright geen lines in the night sky depicting Orion or Taurus etc...but it is interesting) together....

you can individually set each feature and its not too hard to do - just follow the readme and be SURE to back up your -stars.dat- file in the effects folder first.

Dawn and Dusk are where I spend most of my time, FSX's own skys are a treat to look at even without other sky/cloud addons, especially with user defined cloud types/layers. Been flying some out of Juneau Alaska of late, between the mountains and water and with city lights on and the stars shining and the right amont of cloud cover and layering those early morning, early evening flights are dazzling.

Yes, I have done the tweaks, however I am running on a single core @ 2.4Mhz and the poor thing is sweating its techno testicles off trying to perform admirally on FSX. Whilst the graphics are very good thanks to the 8800GT, the scenery gets blurry when I fly too fast for it to keep up. I am very pleased with my set-up though, I am running UTX, WOAI, lots of other addons too, and frame rates are certainly playable unless I go to a major airport such as heathrow, then I am down into single figure FPS.
