However, I've heard some hard-boiled collectors just sluff off something like a homicide and request a case number or how to acquire a death certificate. The Detective could counter that "if the victim owed you money then that could be a perfect motive for a robbery homicide. Do you see where I'm going with this Mr. Bill Collector?"
