external view: how to....

hi guys, a simple question but a one I could not be able to solve by myself....
which is the key, when in external view so to say, when looking at the airplane from outside, to get closer or farer? to move the view around I use the hatswitch but for this I did find no key command! thks a lot inadvance and cheers, gianluca.

use the "+" or "-" keys and if they lock and don't respond, then hit the "backspace" key once and they will be unlocked

Also, CTRL and "+" or "-" will change the camera distance from the plane.

Correct and correct.

The 'CTRL' '+ or -' moves the camera in or out. The '+ or -' zooms the camera in and out.

In the veiw aircraft part (IE Rightwingtip) 'CTRL' plus the spacebar resets the camera position to default and the backspace button resests the zoom back to default settings.

Or press and hold "space" and use mouse + mousewheel to pan around (works both in VC and external views)

Here's one:

When using TrackIR, in the external views, the TrackIR will pan the view left and right, but not up and down. I need to use the joystick hat button to pan up and down.

The question is, is there a way (I assume in the camera.cfg) to disable the TrackIR lateral movements in spot view, so I need to use the hat switch? Or perhaps, can the TrackIR vertical panning be enabled?
