Ezdok

gray eagle

SOH-CM-2025
I I asked this question in another thread (DC3) and never got a response. So I will start a thread here and ask if shots like this are done with ezdok or is there a camera view I don't know about?

I see in lower right hand corner some items that may come from fraps. The individual that took this I guess just ignored responding to me. Oh well. :indecisiveness:

Can't pan to that position with my hat switch (close but not dead center).

You could certainly do that with EZCA. You could also do it other ways, for example from a custom camera (eg. tower camera) in FS Recorder or by using the 'play as traffic' feature. (Those ways would have the advantage of being free!)

Hi,

you don't need EZDOK for that. I have a special cam definition for these views. Just add a cam section like

[CameraDefinition.XXX]
Title=Universal camera
Guid={D8D67955-2E9B-4e75-9D8B-8EFFBBFAC65B}
Description=Universal camera
Origin=Center
SnapPbhAdjust=Swivel
SnapPbhReturn=FALSE
PanPbhAdjust=Swivel
PanPbhReturn=FALSE
Track=None
ShowAxis=FALSE
AllowZoom=TRUE
InitialZoom=0.40
ShowWeather=Yes
InitialXyz=0,0,0
InitialPbh=10, 0, 0
XyzAdjust=TRUE
Category=Aircraft
MomentumEffect=FALSE
ClipMode=Minimum
HotKeySelect=4

to the specific aircraft.cfg (or fsx.cfg if it should apply to all ac) and after switching move the camera viewpoint via the standard FSX cam moving keys (e.g. shift+ctrl+return/backspace) to the desired point of view. I use a special slot for that because that way it does not mess up my default cameras.

Cheers,
Mark

With a bit of key manipulation, I managed to get the desired effect. Thanks a ton Mark!!! :adoration:

Edit: I like this and wonder if there is a way to have this setting "Locked" in so I would not have to redial it in every time I load this bird?
