I've downloaded Kazunori Ito's F-15E for FS2002 over at flightsim.com, and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a sound file for it thet is as accurate as possible without being payware.
I don't know if there are any 'accurate' P&W F100 sound sets out there, but if you don't mind this inaccuracy, there are lots of awesome F-14 Tomcat (P&W TF30) sets available.
I think I can't tell any difference.
They're loud...
There are sound files for the Coral F-15 which will do the job.
I have a couple:
F 15 sound_180247.zip
f-15cff.zip
Search in the usual places, if it's any help the readme says: Dear readers, It is a sound file composed for F-15J,and works as if a real F-15 is inside your house. It is strongly advised that this file is only used as a freeware. Any commercial use is forbidden. [Craft Designer: Kimitaka Nishida Flight Dynamics Designer:Atsushi Terui http://flightinfo.ens.ne.jp/coral/ + Coral-FLT F-15 Eagle VC Version 2.00] This F-15 sound file is composed by Ferrysab.[From IRAN] For further questions please contact me as follow: Ferrysab [at] yahoo.com
I found some good files at AVSIM that might be what you want. Search the FS2004 sound library for this phrase "real deal". There should be a file for the F-16 which uses the same engine as the Eagle. There are also files for the Tomcat, A-10 and B-52. These are all made by the guy who started TSS but his freeware files are as good as pay.
Quite right, Mr. Peterson is one of those occasional giants of the FS world.
His files are mercifully also at flightsim.com, I picked up a Galaxy C-5 while browsing there.
He's even done a Cessna 172!
