• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

What is the secret to getting the hook to work.

I can't get it to deploy. I see images here of it down.

I have been using ALT Q and ALT W as commands.

I'm at work now and don't recall the default tail hook keys. You can go into Settings and make it anything you like. I think the setting is Deploy Tailhook.

Took me forever to figure out how to change the thrust on the Harrier or F-35. Apparently it's the same command as swinging wings fore or aft. I assigned it to buttons on my joystick.

If you go into Settings/Joystick and Utilities/Keyboard and paruse the list, you should see Tailhook and what key its assigned to. If you cannot see it, then you will need to assign it to a key. (I use T).
