F.A.A. - Sink the Tirpitz released!

Hey guys,

Now that Achim27619 has completed Yagodnik, (hence why I said there were "two" reasons why that was bumped up in the queue) later today (probably this evening) I will release a twelve-mission package chronicling the FAA attacks on the Tirpitz. This will also be an auto-installer, however there are some ships from CG Shipyard you will have to get on your own, with the links I provide.

Three missions are fictional German missions, (two bomber, one fighter) while the other nine chronicle Tungsten, Mascot, Goodwood, and Servant. There is also a fictional Lancaster escort for "Catechism," complete with the mooring station for the "Tirpitz," along with GSL scenery for Trosmo, Norway. These missions have been completely ripped up and rebuilt from the ones currently in the library. New missions have been added, and they much closer represent historical reality, with "Tirpitz" positioned in the Kaafjord and the Royal Navy positioned off the North Cape.

Talon was generous enough to modify the "Volcano effect" to simulate the smoke clouds over "Tirpitz" to shield her from FAA attacks.

Bomber Command missions will come later.

F.A.A. - Sink the Tirpitz!

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Missions Add-Ons

Description: This package consists of nine British missions chronicling their attempts to sink the Kriegsmarine battleship "Tirpitz" during April, July, and August of 1944. There are also two fictional British missions; one is an escort of Lancaster bombers during Operation Catechism, which actually sank the Tirpitz, while the other is semi-historical, depicting the attack which might have taken place with DeHavilland Mosquitoes performing a low-level, high-speed strike on the German ship with "Highball" bombs designed by the same creator of the "bouncing bomb" that breached the Ruhr dams; Sir Barnes Wallis. The other three missions are fictionalized German missions when you raid the British Fleet off the North Cape with level bombers, torpedo bombers, or intercept a departing raid on the Tirpitz as the strike force returns to the fleet.

In this package, you will find all of the aircraft, weapons, scenery objects, airfields, new GSL scenery (Tromsø) by me, and other materials required to fly these missions. Those whose work is included in this package include Wolfi, Achim27619, Pen32Win, Talon, Mike Hambly, Stiz, MaskRider, Canion, SOH_Donationware, FDGv2, Martin Wright, Marc Siegel, Xavierb, Team Daedalus, Captain Kurt, The Groundcrew Team, The Virtual Navy, Brunosk, Baldy, and Mas.

Enjoy!

John,

Because it was for one mission only, I used the AI Lanc, which does have Tallboys as a payload, and they are used. :very_drunk:

In case you were wondering...I wanted to get both "Fall Weiss / Poland 1939" and the Tirpitz raids off my "to be completed" list for a while now, it's nice to get them out the door.

One more BIG thank. But now I face another problem: You launch these campaigns faster than I can fly them. Oh s... that a luxury problem.:jump:

THANK YOU RAMI!
