Lots of talk from Ferrari threatening to pull out of F1 if new rules are brought about regarding new engines and leveling the playing field. They have lots to lose as the engines are sold to other teams for millions each. Ferrari taking about starting their own series.
They won't and can't.
Technically Ferrari has pulled out of F1 a couple of times, but that was Enzo Ferrari being Enzo Ferrari.
One could say that Ferrari never ran a works team in F1 during the 1952 and 1953 seasons, simply because the World Championship devolved down to F2.
Other than that the Factory cars were 'withdrawn' toward the end of 1964 as a result of the FIA refusing to homologate the 250LM as a development of the 250GTO, only to be run under the NART banner.
But that was typical Ferrari the man, the present bunch of corporate weenies are just making noises.
