F1 Brazil

It was definitely an interesting race. Hamilton's engine which got too hot (at least according the transmissions). Bottas with an engine failure. The Ferrari's which were a bit slower than Mercedes and Red Bull, but not as slow as expected. The weird crash between the two Ferrari's (small touché, but huge consequences).

And perhaps the weirdest thing of all: A Torro Rosso second, which was faster in the climb and on the straight than a slightly damaged Mercedes.

It was quite entertaining the whole race, which is quite rare in Formula One. (It was more entertaining than the MotoGP which of course was won by Marquez again....)

Cheers,
Huub

All the Pierre Gasly doubters need to reconsider their previous remarks.
Ditto for the Honda knockers!
Actually if Louise hadn't taken Albon out ..........:banghead:

The bikes were good Huub, Zarco was really lucky, and having Miller on the podium again made me a happy camper.
Sad to see Jorge retiring but he did it with a very well thought out speech and it was time.
Marc might have won again but he always does it with style.
:encouragement:

The race will have an interesting follow-up. I saw the invitation from the stewards for the Ferrari drivers. So this might have consequences for Vettel as he already has quite some penalty points on his licence (Might be old news, as the invitation was right after the race, but I haven't seen any outcome.) And yesterday I was reading that the FIA will investigate the fuel system of the Ferrari engines. From what I understood they have secured the fuel systems from Ferrari, Alfa-Romeo and Haas, most likely to check the differences of these systems.

From what I have been reading, I understand that Alexander Albon's driving style is much closer to the way Max Verstappen drives the Red Bull (compared with Pierre Gasly). Which doesn't say much about the qualities of Pierre Gasly. YOu see a similar situation in MotoGP. Is there anyone who says Jorge Lorenzo is a poor rider, as he can't win races on the current Honda?

Cheers,
Huub

Or we might not notice before the next race...... :biggrin-new:

No FIA consequences Huub, what happens inside the team I of course do not know..

Vettel's move on Leclerc did remind me of Turkey 2010 (With Webber) and Singapore 2017 (With Raikkonen and Verstappen.) for example. Not the first time he did that.
