F4U Corsair Getting Close

As I love the Corsair I had to buy it. It looks fantastic and so does the Essex Carrier. It is extremely hard to taxi, take offs and landings are hard but managable. It was an "ensign eliminator" after all. The most frustrating issue however imho is that it is very difficult to dogfight in it. Easy to stall and not a stable gun platform. All this of course by someone whose closest real flying experience is a Piper SuperCub.

Marianas WWII map looks very good.
 
Dimus - I also purchased the F4U and do not have any significant time in it yet. I find all of the DCS WWII aircraft need to be closely managed in dogfights! I find I'm more prey than hunter.
 
Well, I find that I can dogfight and have good chances to win against AI 109s and 190s in the Spitfire and the Mustang. Even the Mossie has good chances sometimes because of the huge punch of 4x20mm + 4x.303. In the F4U however I can not bring the guns to bear and tight turns are too hard without stalling. I focus on ground attack in the Corsair for the moment.
