Interesting video. I watched almost all of it but only saw the initial pitch up for a Cobra Maneuver, not the actual full maneuver. Pull up Cobra Maneuver on YouTube to see what it actually looks like.:salute:

Yes i know, my initial goals was make that airplane more realistic, I was surprised with this maneuver
then kept with it

hehe. you just accidentally discovered what i've been trying to get for the last two years with the SU-37. ::LOL::.. No way an F-18 can do anything like that, but glad your having a good time with it. :)..

Actually, the first aircraft to fly this maneuver, that I'm aware of, was the YF-17, the predecessor of the F/A-18. It flew it at Farnborough and the Paris Airshow around the 1975/1976 time frame. Although the Navy pilots that developed it called it the "Hang and Look" maneuver. It's the first version of the Cobra maneuver I'm aware of; Perhaps if Dudley H. is around he could eleaborate, as I found a picture of him with the YF-17 and it's pilots, I think at Farnborough around the same time frame. I keep meaning to e-mail and ask him, but I have to find the pic again.

Here's the pic, 1st column, second picture down.
