Fast Promotions

My latest incarnation is starting to settle in after 3 days' flying with 41 Sqn.

He's doing very well. With only two claims submitted, not confirmed and 5 hours flown, he has been promoted to Captain. Is there any way to slow down the promotion process? 51 has only had 2 casualties and 1 missing pilot. So such a rapid rise seems pretty unlikely to me.

As a minor note, he's flown 6 missions in campaign, as you can see in his log. But there on the left he has 11 missions flown. Do quick flights count in the missions flown bit even when you have log campaign flights only selected in the settings?



Can one of the Mods please move this thread to the new Phase 3 page? I would delete and repost, but I can't remember if there is a way to delete a thread, much less do it.

I think, the promotion is due to the war time advance rather, than you actually beeing in there. So, in 1918, you will be promoted Captain, and later maybe Major? But I'm still talking of P2.
Ah - and if you would like to "produce" more kills: try a German plane! (Lol!)
Half an hour ago, I had a scramble. Six Camels came vertically down on the four Albatros D Va of us. And I shot down 3 of them, in less then ten minutes!
All settings on "hardest" (so to say).
Wonder, how much more difficult that would be in P3?

In phase 3 we have tryed to make kill count more historical na now there could say you lucky if you get more than one kill in the mission. Becourse better AI, tweaked damage model.

Dont worry Olham, you should be just as lethal in P-3 as in P-2. And you are right, it is the German Aircrafts' superiority at play! I had a similar event at my home strip, La Folie Ferme, pack of Nieuport 17s fell on us from above, we were in Albatros DV's at 100% realism. I got three and almost another but my wingy stole him from me by putting two (Count them TWO!!!) shots into him before he hit terra firma. I was furious!! Thats ok though, for revenge the next mission I waited till he had wasted 400 rounds to bring down a Spad and as it tumbled to earth and my wingy broke off, I swooped down and fired three rounds into his burning plane seconds before impact. SCORE!!! Payback is a bi#$h Wingy my boy!! : )

Knocked down 3 Pfaltz tonight...woot...really unfair since I was in my very trusty Camel and at low level. They should rename them to "flying coffins". Anyway, I have 27 plus hours and still no promotion, I think I might have to switch to lead all flights; because the flight leader is a bit suicidal for me.
