I am going to join a multiplayer event tomorrow, and the aircraft needs to be from the 1901-1914 era?

It needs to work with FS9.

Any recommendations?

Thanks.

My choice would be the same as Guzzi's. The Bleriot is not very reliable, but nice to fly.

Outstanding advice from all of you. Thank you so very much. I have downloaded all of them!!!!

As a side note, I have not posted much lately. Been having considerable problems at home. Those of you who have experienced marital strife, am sure you can relate. Please keep me in your thoughts, shipmates. I need all the friends I can muster right now.

There's a Wright 1911 EX over at FlightSim that's my favorite for that period. IRL, Cal Rodgers flew his named "Vin Fizz" coast to coast although the trip took a while and the Wright had to be rebuilt a few times along the way.

I know what you mean about the strife. I usually manage to keep my head down until the storm blows over. Good Luck shipmate! :ernae:

I fancied the Zeppelins, such as the Delag ladies. Bill

I hear ya. :applause: A FS2004 version of the Schwaben, Viktoria Luise, or Hansa would be incredible! Hey NavyChief, me and Mrs. FlyTexas went our seperate ways last February. Trust me, it's a hell no man (or woman) would want to visit. I pray that you and Mrs. NavyChief can work things out. :)

:jawdrop:where did you find clement ader's eole ?

I made all three - left to right, duTemple monoplane of 1874, Mozhaiski monoplane of 1884, and Ader's Eole of 1894. All made for FS2004/FS2002.

They were my first airplanes; so they are quite simple, and use the same 2-D cockpit. (It just has the two instruments from the Wright Flyer.) They also model the low horsepower engines and poor aerodynamics of the originals; so they are no Pitts biplane, not even a Piper Cub.

FDE files by Roger Law. Sound and Panel aliased to the Henson Arial Steam Carriage by caldrail. Smoke effects file from the Steambat model by from Kevin Bryan/Unreal Aviation. (E-mails to obtaion permission to include these were not answered.) They can be downloaded from the Old Hanger download page at:

Look for "The Great Days of Steam"

I have been playing around with a "Version 1.1" of planes that makes some minor enhancements to them. I also built a ski jump ramp for FS2004; they then do what the original planes do -- jump off, land 70-100 feet away, and that is it.
