Allen,

Awesome! I'm sure this will also come in handy for SCW fans as well! :encouragement: :applause: :wavey:

Allen,

Great job on the model. There are four problems I can spot...

1) The wheels are in motion on the model, even when it is not moving on the runway.

2) The contact points need adjusting.

3) The eye level for the virtual cockpit needs tweaking to allow you to see more of the virtual cockpit.

4) The muzzle flashes need adjustment.

Other than that, we're in good shape as far as I can tell.

28 and I already got alzheimer's.... I messed up the model scale. Attaching new model that will fix 2 to 4. New DP and Aircraft.cfg. DP will have the hit boxes set to match the model. Aircraft.cfg so contact_points match the model.

Wheels are animated by the game when moving. They are not user animated so having them move when on the ground stopped makes no since.

What a swell idea!

Are you two rascals conjuring up a multi-LOD model of the Fiat CR32 Ter by D'Attomo & Quai that I converted?

If yes: :applause: :encouragement: :triumphant:

Stefano,

That's exactly what we're up to. It's the best model of a Cr-32 that can be made into multi-lod form, and it's useful for North Africa and the SCW theatres. I'm also working on tweaking the airfile a bit.

Once the model was finished, the next step was to make a consolidation package after getting permission from you, Allen, Gius, mvg3d, and Blood_Hawk23. :biggrin-new:

I use it in the beginning of the Balkans campaign when Pattle cuts his teeth in the North African Desert.

Allen,

The model looks great now. I took care of the airfile and got her flying really nice as a quater variant. However, the one thing that still needs fixing is the collision bubble...in the aircraft selection screen, the model takes up almost the entire screen.

Also, have the light fix states and other potential hangups been adjusted?

Good morning,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I uploaded a revised package for Kelticheart's conversion of the Quai / D'Attomo Fiat Cr-32 for CFS2. Included in this version is a multi-lod model by Allen which includes a virtual cockpit, as well as a new set of .air and .cfg files by me (Rami) to create a makeshift "Quater" version of the aircraft for use in North Africa in 1940.

I thought about uploading a separate package, but figured that would be laborious and too confusing. So I made the appropriate modifications to the original package with a readme and new folders. The instructions should help make this a seamless transition.

Many thanks to Allen for his multi-lod model, and for the graciousness and generosity of Kelticheart, Gius, Allen, mvg3d, and Blood-Hawk23 for allowing me to modify and upload this revised package.

Enjoy!

Well done!

This is exactly what the doctor ordered for this model, in order to become a full-fledged replacement for the obsolete, CFS1-derived IS4G Fiat C.R.32.

It will be great for both early WWII North Africa and the SCW theatre, with the fine skins painted by Gius.

Here's a little help for people with little or no knowledge of Latin language:

bis, ter and quater are ordinal numbers in Latin, they mean respectively second, third and fourth.

Italian aviation industry of the period used often Latin ordinals to indicate production runs and their possible variants.

In this specific case, Rami and Allen's teamwork turned a Fiat C.R.32 third variant into a fourth and final version of this historical biplane.
