Hi Friends,
During the last Friday UNFORTUNATELY I lost the last worked CR.42's files due to GMax known Gremlin!!!!!! Strangely the GMax automatic backup files are corrupted too (?). The base VC was almost finished..... GGGRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!
BUT i still have a file i worked during September, so I lost only a month of work.............
A silly question : Do You know a method to recover GMax corrupted files ?

For SOH Belgian friends: I'm searching for pics or profiles of Belgian '42 where it is possible to see the shape and position of underwings codes.

How frustrating that must be. I hope that you can somehow recover all of your work and that you don't have to repeat or re-do it all over again.

Sorry to hear about this issue.

Have you checked your backup files in c:\gmax\AutoBak folder?

There are three types of files there but they can only be seen if you select Files of Type "All Files".

If you do not have files in that folder, then check your Configure Paths options to see where the AutoBackup files are going. Also ensure you are saving at least every 15 minutes. I usually do a Save As every 30 minutes with a new variant name, never overlaying an older version.

If you have some backup files you cannot open, you may send to me a few and I will try. I have 3 versions of gmax.
 
Stratobat, I don't really care which version, but I really hope this can solve Manuele's problems.

So do I... The more aircraft we have in FS the better :)

I do apologise if I gave off the wrong vibe with my question but it was purely an academic one. I'm using Gmax 1.2 on my current project and I was wondering if there wasn't a Gmax 1.3 or 1.4 floating around there that I didn't know of.
