During the WWII North African Campaign the Allies captured a dozen or more Fiesler Storch from the retreating German and Italian armies. More than a few were pressed into
service against their former owners. RAF's Air Vice Marshall Harry Broadhurst used one as his personal transport. Others were utilised as liasion and artillery spotters.
The two pictures below show one Storch repainted in USAAF colors. The roundel and the markings of the P-38 in the background suggest this Storch was being used by the 37th
Fighter Sqdn. of the 14th Fighter Group somewhere in Tunisia about late 1943 or early 1944.
My attempt to recreate this aircraft on the payware FSAddon Fi-156 Fiesler Storch.
