Afternoon,

I hope you can help with the following questions.

What files would I need to download in order to play a nighttime bomber command offensive?

What is the best Lancaster to use?

1. get ETO expansion
2. has the best equipped lancs
alternative 3.or get the FP lancs which has superior cockpits)
3.DL GC bf110 and FW190 wilde sau from regs hangar
4.load up MB and start crackin

I love the SOH-forum... and we lost a lot of information from the old threads (much to the frustration of the staff I presume).

This site of Mongoose specialices in bomber-command and the nightwar. In one of their threads there is a link to a excel-document in which all kind of aircraft are mentioned. The download-location is included.

There are other threads there too with links to all kind of websites with background information. Mongoose published these links here at SOH too before the threads-crash.

RB's quite right, but to get you started, just get the ETO expansion and that'll have a Lanc and some missions with the latest effects. You can then build on that. BTW you should be aware that the Firepower Lancs are part of a payware package which also installs effects which may conflict with the ETO effects. If you want more Lancs, get the Avhistory models as well as Halifaxes and Stirlings.

Welcome aboard perincurium, glad to see another RAF type on the forum! :applause:

The ETO expansion is a must if you want to see CFS3 in all it's glory.
You'll also get a bl**dy marvellous Wellington in the 1.02 update!

Then once your compfortable with moving files about in cfs3, and there'a loads of chaps here to help :) get the FirePower Lanc and put the cockpit from that into the ETO expansion Lanc to get the best of both worlds.

There are also files around (on the PTO site I believe) that will enable the use of all the Firepower Aircraft in the ETO install.

:kilroy:Pat Pattle, the fp2pto available at Korean Skies in the PTO Solomons scetion only converts the Firepower B-17F, B-17G, B-24J, P-40N, and B-17 Shared Folder. Too bad, too, because that Me 410 would look good in ETO. Still, it will help a bit.:d
 
I believe according to rbp71854, all you have to do is "..just cut and paste your existing lanc and edit the xdp to weapons in the AvH wep pak" and I assume the same for other FP a/c.
