Firefox 3.5 problems...AGAIN!!

Thanks to a 12 hour power outage last week, Firefox will not store automatic log in info any more and it's really getting old to have to log in to numerous sites everytime I close the browser. Someone here helped with the same problem some time back, but darned if I can remember what he said.

And a new problem :violent: has cropped up: I can't seem to bookmark a new site. It just started yesterday.

Any help and advice is graciously accepted to save my sanity.

Opera as well... Its awesome.. You can program it to use Quick Dials, Control 1 thru Control 9

Rarely do I use other IE's, and if I do, its Safari, which has some new code technologies for faster IP reading.

I have so many customers having problems downloading purchases with FF now. For some reason, they are having alot of issues these days, unfortunately.

I'm using FF and I too am having the password issue but no problems with downloading anything.
So far, I really like FF over IE.

I had Firefox 3.5 and I hated it. I went to the Firefox support forum to ask how to roll back to 3.1, and I saw thread after thread after thread about problem after problem after problem with 3.5.

It really confirmed my decision to roll back to 3.1, and I've been happy ever since. I strongly recommend that you roll back to 3.1.

Actually, and I am saying this not because I want to go against the flow, Firefox 3.5 works quite well on my system. It's faster in a lot of things than 3.1. The only problem I am having it's that it's not even slightly less ravenous of system RAM than its predecessor.

There the odd bug that at time happens, an empty tab that refuses to close, but it's only a minor annoyance. Reducing the need for memory should be worked on ASAP, IMO.

Let the chorus begin,

Opera(tic)

Last I knew, safer and faster than IE and FF, I've tried all three, Opera whipped ASS, no contest. Plus it has built in torrent downloading. No need to download and install those (to me) dodgy P2P torrent programs when you need to grab OFF and such.

Try it, it's free, plus V10 has Turbo, which at the users choice dramatically improves browsing speed by reducing image quality, etc. esp useful for slow connections.

Long time Opera user,
Jamie

BTW, Opera doesn't work at SimV, used to be a frequent haunt of mine, before I knew about other better sites, for those few files that are SimV only, I do have FF too. :d

Nobody said can only have 1 browser, so I have 3 :d

Two things to look at

Go to Tools

Choose Options

Select the Privacy Tab

Make sure that "Automatically start Firefox in Private Browsing session" is NOT checked.

Make sure that "Clear History when Firefox closes" is NOT checked.

Those should do it.

when opera 1st came out it was invitation only. it was going to be payware.
i had the first version, back in the day. now i can't imagine not using it.
