First 2020 Scenery Test

FAC257

SOH-CM-2025
Flying into Cusco yesterday and looking at the default airport, motivated me to try a 2020 airport scenery as see if it works or not.

I installed my FSDG Cusco (SPZO) from the Simmarket App. From all first glances it looks like it blends in surprisingly well. I'll look a little closer when I have more time after work today.

The one thing I want to test is a full approach from the far end to see if it does anything to improve the LOD distance of the runway vs the 2024 blurry runway look until your almost on the threshold.

It looks nice so far.
I hope that these "compatibility" statements are at least 90% true, because I have a boatload of them to move over to MSFS 2024.

I took a flight over my home in Redding, CA and to my dismay the scenery Photogramy appears to be older than that used in MSFS2020. I have lived there for 5 years and the area looks to be older than that. What a disappointment.

I've installed quite few FS2020 UK airports and they all look fine to me. I've modded two of my local airstrips and those also work in FS2024, to my surprise - maybe that'll change after the next update.

I'm wondering if they have changed anything in the recent hotfixes ?
Initially, MSFS2020 scenery was showing in MSFS2024 with "overlapping" default building, as if the "exclude" areas of the addon scenery were ignored.
But today I have launched some flights both at Locher and at Meiringen, both with freeware MSFS2020 sceneries on top, and they seem to display perfectly with no duplication/overlap of MSFS2024 buildings.
What's you impression ?

I'm going to do a closer look at SPZO thos afternoon to see if I can spot any conflicts. That was a quick look this AM, before heading to work.
