First look at the Nvidia 3080

According to my friends in the PC retail business the 3 series will probably take quite some time to become available and will be expensive.
'Expensive' is a relative term, as the A$ is only worth around US$00.70 +/- and the local 'Official' distributors have a nasty habit of screwing the highest prices possible out of everybody.
COVID 19 restrictions are playing havoc with current generation items, at least in our area, and of course the 'Asian' manufacturing zones aren't helping.
Impressive first look but I'm a cynic.

I'm sure the cryptocurrency miners are already first in line to buy these new cards, their demand is likely to push the retail price beyond the MSRP.
