Been planning to do it one day so I took the plunge...

Here's the result:

Not an extreme OC but just what I was looking at. Temps look mighty fine to me considering my Thermaltake Blue Orb II cpu fan is not a cooling monster. By looking at Vcore I have the feeling mine is a lucky CPU though!

Does it look good to the experts here?

BTW, thanks a lot Mason!

First yep, from 2.83 to 3.4

Second yep, I've cross read temp values through those two apps as well and they gave me the same values!:ernae:
Now to install FSX and see where it stands at! Last major test for W7 too!

Looks good... I found that RealTemp usually gives a lower reading than Everest which I also use. Everest usually reads about 5 degrees higher. How long did you run Prime95 for? I ran my current build/BIOS settings for over 10 hours without a hitch. I'm also using a higher core voltage on my 9450 (1.25v), but see no reason to push it past that since the rig runs pretty smooth now with an occasional freeze in FSX. One of these days I might try bumping my FSB to 8.5 and see what happens...

Ya done good! :ernae:

I'll have a look at Everest so I can also check compatibility with apps and the Vista drivers for my G15 keyboard, good idea!

Prime has been running for over 5 hours now and I intend to keep at it at least till tomorrow.

I was really pleased to see that vcore voltage kept getting lower without a single prime failure. It took a bit of patience since I started from 1.25 (with unacceptable temps) but in the end I got the sweet spot and everything was worth it! Even only as a learning curve!:mixedsmi:

Makes me wish I had a Q9550...even if it's "just" for half a multiplicator more. :kilroy: :d

Temps look good!
