I think I mentioned before that I was going to try my hand at plastic model building again... I have not tried building one in many many years... and will be nowhere near the quality of Cazzie's and others.... but none the less... here is the first one off the line... Revell 1/72 P-47... pretty good model, crapload of decals for such a small model. I probably only put a 1/5 of the decals it called for actually one the model...

Hopefully more to come...

Well, by golly, if I didn't know better, I'd say you had been at it a while Witt!

Did you use a spray can? Or did you have that old airbrush? Looks good Witt, join a local IPMS club if one exists in your burg. You'll be surprised how much better your modeling will become when you join a club and gain the insight and impetus to build.

From what I see in the model, you do not have too much to learn. Doing all those FS9 work tells. Sim painting has surely helped my modeling.

Nice job Witt. It looks like you haven't lost your touch.

Cazzie,
Unfortunately I cannot get any air through that old Badger airbrush... I just can't figure it out... I took it all apart and just do not know why it does not work. Yeah, it was either the Model Master Aluminum or Testers Silver I believe...either way, I learned a few good lessons with using silver spray paint. First, I sprayed the silver first, then masked off for the glare shield.... bad idea...I just read on the Fine Scale Modeller forum that bare metal paints don't do well with masks.... Second, I hate putting decals on!!!!! especially decals that 'wrap' around say a fuselage or the tail....
