I have looked at mission and changed "whitley_ai" to Sim id of "whitley." The Wellington is "Well_R-AA .The facility id are correct.

I open ETO in ERA I and close. The mission is then added to misions folder "whatif." The missions folder include Historical and training missions for ERA I.

I open ETO in ERA II (Battle of Britain) and select Missions "whatif." ETO crashes?

Where Have I missed a step?:isadizzy:

In my install I had to add a whatif folder to the BoB missions folder, which is where this mission goes. Did you have to do this too?

:kilroy:Rcafmad, it's like this. I think you've put the mission into the wrong folder. Yes, set the game to Era 1 and then exit.

That mission is an Era 2 mission, so it must go into the "whatif" folder found inside the bob-missions folder. You also need two extra planes that have to be downloaded and installed. One from Reg's Hangar and the other from right here at SOH. Then run the BDP Zapper and set the Spawn Selector to "2 Disable Random Spawns". Now start ETO in Era 2 and look for the mission in in the whatif section. It should work now.:d

grizzly50. I followed your steps and the mission appeared in Era2. The following ocurred when I wanted to fly mission:

Unrecognized aircraft "whitley_ai"
Waypoints-Blank screen
Assignments: well_r-aa recognized but not whitley

I closed Era2 and reopened mission and changed aircraft to Sim id= "whitley." Reopened Era2 for mission. "Screen Froze"

Opened up whitley_ai.xdp and found Country id=usa. Also at bottom of mission in facilities there are spawn references. I have facilities and spawns for mission.

What is my next step?

I suggest you start from scratch with unmodified files. I had the Whitley problem. I ported over the aw_whitley from my original ETO install and got the unrecognised ai message. I downloaded afresh from here at SOH and it worked fine (I think it's a different version as the camo is different). As Griz said you need to creat a 'whatif' folder in the bob missions folder (Era 2) and put the mission in there. Make sure you have the correct Wellie from Reg's, as there are several versions out. Hope this helps.

:kilroy:Rcafmad, Beau is right. Do what he says. Get the Whitley from here at SOH again. I don't think that the author of that mission changed the XDP for it, so don't change it. Be sure to run the BDP Zapper before starting ETO again after installing. Let me know what happens.:d

loaded all in eto and the addons works great ....sweet "graphics"

great work they did on eto , and hoping more misisons and addons soon

grizzly50 and Beau. You were correct. I added a fresh Whitley from SOH and I am off to Berlin.

I used an old "Whitley_aw" from my CFS3 missions to save time. From now on I going to add "Fresh" aircraft to any new missions concerning ETO.

Thank you Fellows.
