Fischers' Bu131B and its Chrisn's repaint

A good day to everybody! :wavey:

Following the below post:

http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforu...316-jungmann&p=1002827&viewfull=1#post1002827

and the fact that the Bu131 indicated by Captain Kurt in his recent masterwork Luftwaffe campaign was not the same as the one ChrisN talked about in his repaint upload readme:

"This is a repaint of O. Fischers wonderful Bücker 131 B "Jungmann" as personal travelling aircraft of Hptm. Hans Philipp, Commander of I./JG 54, Krasnowardeisk, Russia, summer 1942.

You need the original aircraft, available at
http://www.junkers-52.de

The model is a Fs2004 design and had to be converted for us CFS2 using Ivan Hsu's mdlc converting tool.

Christian Nölte(ChrisN)
January 2005"

I decided to do something about it.

ChrisN leaves the conversion task up to whoever downloads his repaint. I had downloaded both O. Fischers' FS9 original model plus ChrisN's repaint when it was released years ago and just archived them. When I saw the Bu131 used by Captain Kurt in his campaign, I was curious how the model recommended by ChrisN looked like. ChrisN had a great taste for very nice models and I proceeded to convert it to CFS2 with mk_MDL.

As you can see from the post below, Fischers' Bu131 is indeed an handsome model, carefully detailed, very much worth collecting it. Unfortunately, I converted it a few times using also the step-by-step method of the command line + switches of Hsu's MDLC utility, always with the below poor results.

Control surfaces did not take CFS2 animation fix and remain frozen as if the aircraft were permanently banking to the left and diving. It looks as if the trim tabs are animated in the original FS9 model.

Besides, the CFS2 aircraft.cfg provided by ChrisN has something in the contact points that I am unable to put my finger on: the plane takes off only if one firewalls the throttle. If throttling up gently, as soon as it starts taxiing, it bounces madly until it explodes on the runway.

Please, find attached my converted model file and aircraft.cfg. If you want the below ChrisN's skin, plus his full flight model and dp, get it here:

Should any of you be able to fix this baby control surfaces animation, I really think it would be a great gain for the whole community!

Thank you!

KH :adoration:
