Flight leaders giving commands

How do I tell what my flight leader wants me to do? Is he allready? I was flying really close to my flight leader once, and I thought I heard a voice! I quickly turned it up, but I missed it, or maybe my ears were acting up. Does P3 simulate hand signals by making you hear if only if you are a certain distance away? If it does, that's so cool!

So besides just following the guy, is there any other way I can tell what my flight leader sees and doesn't see and what he's trying to do?

Hi Andqui,
As good as BHaH is, Flight leaders don't give audible commands, unless you are able to fly on-line and use one of the various voice control utilities, where you and your flight can talk to each other.

In BHaH, you need to note what the mission goals are before you fly (briefing) then follow your leader on the mission, unless you are the leader of course. Routinely check your flights direction using the map key (m) or if you are using the HUD, the blue tracking line. Always watch the leader as your other flight members can wander around a bit (zig-zag etc).

Finally you have to remember that, depending on your rank, you could end up leading the flight if every rank above you gets taken out. To help aviod this 'responsibility' select the lowest rank you can when you first enlist your pilot.
