Hi Mike,
Thanks for the info. At this price I think I may add the Me262 rare types package to the A and B models I already have. Can you remind what impact, if any, the special version upgrade you recently released has on the rare types package.
Cheers,
Taff
Mike,
Just by coincidence, I happened to reload your BF-109K (2012 version), and had forgotten how well done it was. I'd love to buy your -G, but it is 2007 vintage. Seems a lot of improvement has happened between 2007 and 2012. Does the -G fly as faithfully as the 2012 -K, and is the detail similar?

Which Me do I need to buy to get the upgraded airfiles?
Essentially, if you know your way around aircraft.cfg's and know how to replace the .air file, and can modify the panel.cfg, you can easily modify the old air files to use the upgraded aerodynamics. This involves replacing the .air file in the Rare Types packages, changing the sim= in the [fltsim.X] entries to match, and then carefully replacing the engine parameters in the old aircraft.cfg with those in the new. After that it's on to adding any new gauges you find in the new panel.cfg to the old Rare Types panel.cfg.
The only area where some experimentation is required is in the aircraft weight entries, as Bernt crafted the new airfiles for a standard Me-262a, and the new airfiles don't always react well with higher weights (eg. the two seater night fighter). However, if the weight is just changed in the old aircraft.cfg to that of the new airfiles, it's a bit of a cheat but this eliminates any issues.

i'd love to see the F and G versions for FSX myself

The Bf-109G is actually in the works and some development work completed, but is a little down the list right now. First the Me-163B needs to be finished, the Me-262 Special Edition released, there's another project in the works that I can't mention presently (but I can say it has four engines), plus eventually the Curtiss P-40E and F Warhawk models. So the factory is busy.
