Hello Flight Replicas ,

Continue to sit patiently for this gem to darken my hanger, are you able at this time to disclose what liveries will be included in the package ?

Did the Dominie HS 125 suffer from a noticeable exhaust signature upon acceleration and if this was the case will the said effect be a feature of the finished product ?

Regards :jump:

Hi Aircanuk,As the Dominie model is of the last version, that some call the T2, it only came in the black and white scheme. Things aren't quite far enough to have thought a lot about paint schemes for this, but they did do an anniversary version that looks really nice. The red and white schemes were only for the earlier strictly T1 versions, and as there aren't any plans yet to do that kind (with the rearward-facing seats) I'm not sure what'll happen. If you're not too fussy, then I'm sure T1 and even civilian schemes could be used on the model. Any preferences?Things are moving a bit slowly on the Dominie right now, as the MSFS 2020 learning curve is pretty absorbing what with learning Blender etc.. A lot to do. So no absolute idea when the Dominie will be complete. There is some progress just about every day, however, and hoping that'l keep up even with the back-to-school parental routines likely to eat more free time.Hope that can help give you an idea....Mike

Hello Mike,

Thank you for the follow up, what ever additional liveries you may include in the release will be greatly appreciated. Any comment to my exhaust question ?

Continued success with the MSFS learning curve.

Your comment on the take off sound is actually the first I hear of this, so will have to look into it. The 125 was said to have a very whiny intake sound, and that's apparent in a few videos (although I'm not sure it was much different than most smaller jet engines at the time), but given that sound cones in FSX have never seemed to me to do that much I'll have to see what I can do.

The only aircraft that personally I've ever noted to have a really distinctive sound was the Harrier. When I was a photographer at the Paris Air Show, the Harrier would come back from its display and hover in front of the company 'tent' and then do a little bow, before landing. The noise when standing in front of the Harrier was simply ear splitting, much worse than the sides or rear. When it taxiied up before shutting down it was almost too much. Good times. :)

Hello Mike,

My bad !! ..... should of been more specific , my question was about the a/c's "exhaust smoke signature"

I'm certain the project will come with the appropriate sound file.

Regards

Ah! Sorry, didn't catch that. Looking at a few videos, can't say I saw much smoke at all (not B-52-like, at any rate). And so no, probably no smoke effect. This video has some good views of the Dominie taking-off:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAiCk6lIdrk&t=124s

Hello Mike,

Cheers for the Youtube . I agree , no smoke concerns at all !

The reason I asked was because the "freeware version" I'm running pukes smoke out the back at certain throttle settings and figured that's the way it performed in real life.

Regards
