Weird how your age changes like the wind...13 to 83 to 88?? Dr. Who in reverse:icon_lol:

Man that Mike can model.. You would sware that these were photos of an actual plane. Even the rivets on the panel look to real to be virtual....

A very nice model. The only difference is that on the real thing you can see the shadows of the frame on the sides. It looks too slab-sided the way it is now,
I used to fly in CAP Taylorcarft L-2s out of Plum Island during the war, looking for U-Boats. I wish this guy, or somebody, would do a L-2. They were used extensively during the war. Eisenhower's private mount was a Taylorcaft L-2.

Don't worry, Helldiver, the side frames are there - they just don't show too strongly in the screenshots. See screenshot below.

Roger, I see you have the top door up, to let some good fresh sea air in the cockpit. Nice thing about Cubs is that ability to fly with the doors open. First ever small plane I was up in was a Super Cub, and when the pilot opened the doors at 2000', it was magic. :)

And we'll see if anyone notices that the wire that connects the front of the floats (a little tight-rope walkway so the pilot can cross to the other float) actually flexes with the airflow.... :)

Mike
