Flight Replicas Me-262 Series

WarHorse47

SOH-CM-2024
I miss flying the Me-262 from my FS9 install, so I'm looking at getting this bird for FSX.

I see there are now 3 packages. In reading the descriptions it almost seems the new Special Edition version replaces or updates the original Me-262 A/B version.

Does someone have these, and can someone clarify?

Thanks in advance.

IMHO the new special edition is the way to go. I own all of the packages, but modelling wise and especially the flight model of the special edition, the new special edition wins easily.

What I did with the older packs is swap the flight model of the old ones by the new. That turns them into almost new models. But the modelling changes, well those we will have to wait for!

Moreover, the new special edition isn't expensive at all!!

I picked up the Special Edition and the Rare Types. Definitely an improvement over the FS9 version.

I noticed that the Special Edition manual discusses updating the other packages with the air file and edits to the aircraft.cfg. It also mentions swapping out some of the gauges in the panels. Has anyone done this??

Yep, I have and it was well worth the effort. It doesn't even take that long.

I will admit though, that I fly the new special edition the most.
