• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Flight sim planes uninstall problem

I recently downloaded a demo of a p38 and used their installer. It worked well but after two days the demo was done, so I used their uninstaller and now fsx is broken. After going back and cleaning out the entries that were left over including the dll.xml file, frame rates are horrendous. Went down from average of 25 in Megascenery Dillingham to 4-5 fps. Once airborne most aircraft will no longer climb. Some will, by selecting different aircraft I have found some that will work. I have rolled back video drivers from the 190 series to 182.50 but still getting low fps and elevator control only on some aircraft. Calibrated usb joystick also. Fan control on evga precision is set up to 80 and norton is shut off. Also use Nhancer settings by Nick Needham
After 10-15 minutes sim will lock up. Any suggestions? In the future, I will no longer use installers, just manual so I can see where and what is installed. Thanks
