Flight Sim X Setup Folder

Just a quick question...

When I go to 'Flight Simulator X/Setup' folder, it has subfolders called DX (direct x?) and XPackCache (acceleration?). The XPackCache folder is over 1 GB, and I was wondering if I can delete it. I assume its a setup temporary file that was made when Acceleration was installed...and not needed now. Is this assumption correct?

Why not move it to a different drive or folder, if FSX doesn't crash after several periods it may be safe to delete it. It does seem awful large though to be useless.

I removed it without any problems so far...that I can see...

I just zipped it up and left it where it was so I wont lose it.

Anyone else have any experience with this?
