flight time + squad deaths

Exactly how does the OFF manager calculate flight time, and account for warp or pausing the game?

I'm asking because I had a flight where the clock in my Strutter said 0819 takeoff and 1017 landing, and I only got credit for 80 minutes as opposed to 120. The review, however, showed my landing to be at T+120. Whats happening?

Second, are squadron casualties and kills direct products of what happened during the flight? Several times I've seen one of my flight going down behind enemy lines in flames, and showing up at base a few hours later for the next mission. One instance in particular strikes me- in the same Strutter mission, inside German lines, I watched Dominique Leblanc's plane disentigrate from a flak hit at 8,500 ft. I returned to base with two wingmen as opposed to three, and when I looked in the duty room none of the members of my flight were missing or late or harmed.

There have also been a few instances where some of my flight members file kill claims even though there was no contact with the enemy.

This game is fantastic, one of the most immersive and best out there. I'm not griping, I'm just trying to figure out if something's wrong, and if not, point out a potential area of expansion.

thanks

I've had that mission-time being out of whack a few times, and I don't warp. It's a tiny little bugette I think, but I encompass it with imperfect book-keeping (there's a war on etc).

I don't really notice who gets shot down in my flight and who doesn't. Could be other planes coming into the fight from elsewhere for all I know. Fog of war ("Hey, could have SWORN I saw you go down! Glad you're still with us!").

Kill claims, they're going out on other flights besides yours.

It has to be something pretty major to rock my sense of immersion, because most things can be encompassed in some kind of realistic way or another. Just requires a bit of imagination. :)

Turn labels off it it helps.
We can track everything but currently do not use it all.

In P298 we hope to track everything and will report which wingman shot who were when etc.

Time sometimes counts up to when the mission was completed. Don't worry, as Siggi says there is a war on.

I just had the craziest mission ever. Me and three strutters were bounced by an ace flight of DR.1 and Albatrosses and chased back to base, being picked off one by one until I managed to stagger over home base as the AA drove them off! All three of my wingies got shot down....

But none of them were listed as injured or KIA. In fact, I have seen very few instances of a AI pilot in my flight getting affected/ injured/ killed. The majority of the time it's as if nothing had happened. This is the only thing that is nagging at me in the other-wise perfect 1.2. Would it be possible in the future to impliment a kind of death/injure/casualty system for the AI as exists for the player. The game wouldn't have to track every flight going on, only those in the players'. It would tremendously add to the immersion if my experienced flight leader got blown away in front of my eyes and was then really gone forever.

It's because now we put names in labels that you notice. Turn labels off job done -that's real immersion.
As above, in the future versions many things are possible if we get enough support.
