What i'd like is to sort my flight log to aircraft type (so i know exactly how many hours per type i have flown).
How do i do that within FSX?

If not possible, how do i export it to a format/tool where i can (e.g. excell or another spreadsheet program or tool)?

I'm closing in to 2k hours in FSX (all flown real time, not time compressed), and i was wondering how many hours per type i spent in the virtual air.
 
Try this utility. Lamont Clark made a lot of good stuff for FSX early on and then just left, disillusioned...

The readme says it will export to a CSV file, which a spreadsheet should handle without difficulties.
