Flyfreestd ????

I had overlooked your question and remark.
The flight model of the Su-33 was quite puzzling for me. You mentioned the AoA limiter, but from what I'm seeing, the Su-33 by FlyFreeSTD does not have it modelled in the cockpit (I mean, it's modeled but not functional, not clickable), so I don't know how you switched it on or off ?

Are you sure you're not using the planes made by BearStudio instead ? These had much more systems and switches modeled, including all switches related to AoA limiter... which never worked for me, unfortunately (switch had no effect).
Performing a Cobra was at least possible in the BearStudios Sukhois, once I set the elevator trim full nose up and flying at reasonnably low speed.
In the FlyFreeSTD, in the same conditions, the plane didn't really stall... instead, it just went full speed nose up, and started a very fast climb, just like a very fast ressource of a very overpowered plane...

Concerning the Valkyrie and any of its successors, unfortunately I have yet to see any decent model of that plane.
I mean, I understand it's not possible to model anything "realistic" about it, it's a Sci-Fi plane after all... but I wish there were at least a nice looking model with reasonable systems and animations...

I was in the Su-27. The AoA limiter switch works in it. I haven't gotten the 33 yet. (I would like to see them do a Fullback as well.) I have ditched my Bear Studios Flanker since getting this one. Bummer on the Valkyrie, but maybe you'll enjoy this video. An RC Valkyrie. The wings have a bit of extra chord and are fixed at mid sweep, but dang it looks great in the air! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jfiSAErAp0 (Just be warned, the music is extremely loud!)

Ah, the Su-27 has a functional AoA limiter switch ?
Well, bad luck for me. During the sale I chose the Su33 because I also wanted to enjoy some aircraft-carrier operations. The second model I bought was the Mig-29. Now the sales are over so it's too late to buy the Su-27.
It's surprising they modeled that switch in the 27 and not in the 33 though.
Also, I just checked the product page and there's no mention of that switch...
Does FlyFreeSTD have any official website anywhere where more details could be found ? Or any reviews ?

Concerning the Valkyrie, thanks for that video !
In the youtube suggestions, I could then find some interesting development video series for a Valkyrie mod for Arma III !

The switch does work on both the 27 and the 33. It is switch #5 on the left hand console (third outboard after the taxi and landing light switches) as listed in the manuals. The 33 does the same goofy pitch up or forward if push or pull the stick to the stop at about 420KPH or below that the 27 does. At that speed about 1/2 to 3/4 stick movement is about all you want and will give you a nice rendition of Pugachev's cobra. After some test flying, contrary to what I thought before throttle position has no effect on the crazy pitch change, but it looks to be speed related instead happening like I said at around 420 or so and below. I've tended just to keep the limiter switched on (foward). I do like how the 33 sticks a landing on the carrier. A lot of times planes get all tipsy when trapping but the 33 and 26K are rock solid unless you get off center. As far as an official website, none that I can find. Not even a Facebook page! Makes it hard to see what's coming out, but if they do an Su-34 Fullback, I'm in!

You were right. I could find the switch finally.
Maybe my remembrance from the BearStudios planes was not as good as thought.
Anyways, the plane indeed performed a cobra... actually, it even performed a full rotation then proceeded to gain altitude during its stall and spin inverted, typical FSX/P3D catastrophic physics engine as soon as you get out of the normal flight enveloppe. Not really the fault of FlyFreeSTD in that case.
Ah well, better than nothing. At least I could land it on the carrier this time.
Thanks for the tip.
