"The Only Way To Fly." DC-3A Western Airlines, Texture mid 40s. Well, Dudley and I are ready, jug full of coffee, and some fresh peanut butter sandwichs.
Well, Flight 19 will be standing down today (Sunday). Last nights flight was from KVIS to KOAK, Monday we will be heading for KRNO, I believe that MR. Willy has be doing some negotiation with the local swap shop concerning picking up another aircraft. So yall we will see you Monday.
Well, that Lockheed deal didn't work out. But I ran into this guy named Nelson who wanted me to fly one of his aircraft. So now I've got all kinds of room for passengers and "stuff" that the Lockheed didn't have.
Hey there! well, didn't get to fly with group of Flight 19 due to major engine problems it seem we blew one of the jugs on number 2 engine, but got plenty of help from the mechanic from Trans Ocean and the bugger fixed in order for takeoff the follow day. We flew ATC all the way which has been a little than how we usual fly. I got the darn-est look from Dudley about what the heck Willy said about Bordello when I asked him what it meant. Heck, I didn't know, shucks I have had a very shelter life, hehe. Last time I seen Dudley he was still in the first seat laughing his backside off. I get the biggest kick out of throwing odd ball things at him like what Willy was talking about. But knowing Dudley he will get back at me!
Nice flight.
Here are some photos we took on the flight from Klamath Falls KLMT to McMinnville KMMV. We flew over some rough and rugged mountains, and just west of the Three Sisters which were snow covered. When the flight flew over Crater Lake we were a few miles behind and when we got there there was a lot of cloud cover and couldn't get any good picture, but at least Moses did. Flew over and around McMinnville before landing and got a few shots. At least the weather was good considering we were in Oregon!
We headed up to Kalispell Montana. Unfortunately the Captain of the Western ship attempted a wheels up landing to try to impress some local broad waiting at the gate...
