G'day everyone, Alex here from FlyingIron Sims.

The legendary B-17 is taking shape beautifully, and we’re thrilled with the progress our team has made on the exterior modeling so far. This iconic World War II bomber is coming along very nicely, with incredible attention to detail being paid to every rivet and panel. Over the coming months, we’ll continue providing work-in-progress images and development updates to keep you in the loop. For now, enjoy these stunning renders that showcase the aircraft’s authenticity and give you a glimpse of what’s to come!

Dang it !..... Actually I had hopes for "..over the coming weeks..." . Gonna be tough but Good Things are coming to those who wait, right !? :coffee:

Beauty! I was lucky enough to get a flight on the Collings Foundation's Nine-O-Nine back in the 90's and it was an amazing experience. Looking forward to this one!

I got to do that, too, up at Ross McDonald airport in Heber, Utah. It was well worth the $. The Fortress is one of the most beautiful aircraft ever built, IMO. Happy to see a nice-looking version of it coming to the sim. Great renders.
 
Looks great, this one is really missing from the sim!

Patience is not easy in this case, but I am very certain that it will be well worth it.

[ Whisper Mode On] hold on there, Paul, dunno bout you but when i see these awesome B-17 renders i just can't help expecting kind of a similar Crew Experience as we did very much enjoy with the amazing A2A B-17 in FSX/P3D. Remember ?.... I will of course not talk about such things in the open, i wouldn't dream of rubbing Flying Iron up the wrong way, not with this extreme beauty in the pipeline anyway. Just saying.... ;-) [Whisper Mode Off]
 
I'm hoping for this paint scheme. As a small boy, she was the first Fort I ever encountered. ;)

A selfish early request for this livery, if the developers are watching! A personal connection, having flown in it ten years ago in the bomb-aimer's seat, (when I was younger and er.... fatter!).

As did I. It was the second ever Airfix model I bought. The first was the Albatross D.V.

You've gotta marvel at the artwork on that box. Evocative. Roy Cross was a genius. Imagine what he could do now, especially in Sims! :)
