• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Hello,

I'm working on a mercy flight repaint for the Transall and I have two very special questions. What do the arabic looking font mean and where can I get this fonts ???:help: I hope that somebody can help

Brian,

In Vista or XP, open your Character Map (click Search and type in Character map). After you open the Character map, go to Font in the upper left and scroll to Arabic Typesetting and click it. Scroll about midway down and you will see the Arabic characters, choose each that you need one at a time and click Select > Copy, then Paste in your graphics editor's Text Tool.

but what do this F.....unny signs mean? Is it realy arabic ???. This Transall was sendet to Ethiopia. Or is it an other language ?
 
You can get freeware fonts online. Just drop them into your Fonts folder in Windows and look them up in your graphics program in Fonts.


Probably best to copy the spelling from a photo rather then trying to understand how its spelled. eeeks... (unless you really are curious).

Now I can finish this repaint.
