George Preddy's cousin, Joe Noah, has been bugging me to do George's first "Cripes A'Mighty", his P-47D-10-RE, in which he scored his first three kills, plus a train and a bulldozer!

So I took it to task with profiles and drawings from Sam Sox and Joe now that I have the paint kit for the A2A WoP III P-47D, I did a repaint of George Preddy's P-47D-10_RE.

Hope you folks like it, Joe said it's on his desktop right now, couldn't get a better commendation than that. RIP George. :engel016:

I may get slapped here for insubordination of a superior paint job, but I think I might see a teensy problem...

HO-P was a 487th FS P-47D... OH-P, if it existed, which I don't know, would have been a 120 Squadron RAF Liberator. Is that second shot down on the left side correct, or should I dive for cover behind one of Bill Womack's rather nice blast shelters? :)

Hold on Ian, lemme see, I do make buffos like that. Looking for the placement profiles.

Wait, what did I do wrong, did I post a different FS, it is from the 487th FS, 352nd FG. Oops, I see what you're talking about, a fix is in order, correct code on starboard should be P "Star" HO, I got it reversed. Many thanks for pointing that out Ian, I shall attend to it with haste.

Looking forward to getting my hands on that one - as I said to Lewis the other day, I just cleared my download list from Firefox; apart from one Alpha Liberator, one Alpha Hudson and one A2A Kittyhawk repaint each by Jan Kees, everything else I've downloaded since I last cleared it has been a P-47D repaint. ;)

Thanks Dimus, I once had that in a link and it moved.

The Preddy fix has been uploaded, it's an entire new set of textures save the thumbnail. That's the thing about FSX, you change the main texture, you change all.

I note that A2A's main textures are 4096 X 4096. Should one set that TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD to 4096 for best results?
