Hi Good People,

For those that are interested Edward and I have packaged up Jens B. Kristensen's deHavilland 91 Albatross (with his consent of course) and a small bucket of era specific liveries.

As many may know only around 6 Albatross's were every manufactured before deHavilland was required to focus on the Mosquito production for WWII.

The Albatross was an outstanding piece of design work for 1938, almost revolutionary in what it delivered as a passenger aircraft in comparision to other developers. But unfortunately the potential was never fully explored.

We, the Ford Project Team, thought we would do some "what if" liveries for this classic aircraft and give her a bit of artificial history as a World Class Passenger aircraft.

You will find her at http://www.ford-tri.motor.net - via the Other Aircraft Page
or direct link http://www.ford-tri-motor.net/Misc-Aircraft.htm

I hope it brings some happy flying times to your sim.

Regards and happy simming

Livery Pack

Hi Good People,

Below is a quickly created image that shows the livery pack that is included in the DH91 package

Just a touch of the worldwide spread that we have covered. Possibility of more to come - but depends on popularity of the DH91 project :adoration:

Garry & team... much thanks. A great start for the weekend.
Just a thought, would it be possible to put a date when your planes/scenery are released? Sometimes I end up with duplicates & sometimes I miss a release.

Have a great weekend, & :applause:

Hi Mate,

Will take your "Date" concept under consideration - I like the idea and can certainly do that with some of the current and new stuff - but not sure about sweeping back over the last 4 years and dating many many hundreds of existing downloads.

Regards

Thanks, Garry and Ed, for the excellent artistry. I especially like the wooden plank textures. Thanks to Jens B. Kristensen for releasing the dH 91"Albatross" model. Before this, I had never seen the Albatross, just the "Dove" and the "Heron". What a graceful beauty of an airplane she is.

Only you Garry would call 15 liveries a small bucket! Thanks a lot for this, now I know what I'm doing on Sunday - downloading right now! Can't wait to get thsi beautiful offering into the air ...

Hi Roland,

That looks pretty good - there are a few "difficult" areas to paint and one of them is the amount of stretch near the top and the bottom of the aircraft - if you scaled down the artwork above the windows you might get rid of any overstretch there. Another trouble area is the right upper area near the front window through to the cockpit window - has a tendency to tear the bottom just along the dotted lines area.

Also if you do not want the front DH Ford Project decal to show over your artwork - you can eliminate it by setting the alpha layer to all being full black 0,0,0 - remove all of the white stuff and the decal will go away.

However, overall a good repaint - especially since you have only had access to the paint kit for a couple of days. Well done.:applause:
