Fox News currently has on its home page an article discussing in detail allegedly unknown problems with the F-22 that have resulted in the death of at least one pilot, near-death experiences for others, and a number of others who are reportedly refusing to fly the aircraft due to safety concerns. Reportedly, these concerns are related to pilots blacking out from anoxia, caused by an alleged defect in the aircraft's oxygen system.
Cutting-edge aircraft always have problems, but I'm not aware of any past effort by the Air Force to muzzle its pilots, even within the service, regarding discussing problems with aircraft. I can understand not discussing it with the media, for security purposes - but among themselves (if this is to be believed)?
