FR Super Cub

Richard, which scenery would that happen to be? It looks great and I'm not familiar with it. I love that airplane!

Reading a few books on Jimmy Stewart in recent months, I discovered that he owned a Super Cub which he flew regularly up until the early 80's (in addition to other aircraft he owned at various times, such as a Stinson Voyager, Cessna 310, and a co-owned/sponsored P-51C for a brief time).

Hi John

The scenery is Hampton Field_7B3 New Hamshiere. The scenery is created by our own Falcon409. I have pretty much all is
Maine and New Hamshiere. The plane is Flight Replica Super & Super Ultra Cub.

Thank you for the information about the scenery, Richard!

Yes, Mike's Super Cubs are fantastic and I've been flying the 'Ultra' quite regularly ever since the day it was originally released. It has some of the best flight dynamics I've experienced, and it is a lot of fun to fly.

Well, that's a coincidence. I've been playing with the Super Cubs ever since v5 arrived, seeing as we now have a very nicely rendered atmosphere to fly through. Just thought I'd look them over and see how they do in v5. I've picked one in particular, because it happens to be my favourite, with its superb visibility. They do need texture modifications, and some parts could do with replacing (such as new tires), along with a tweak here and there, but overall very nice to fly in v5. Haven't enjoyed GA flying so much in a long time.

Here's the Cub in v5, with some but not all texture mods.

Mike, that looks superb.

Like LouP, I hadn't loaded the Cubs in P3DV4, because they are marked FSX only. After seeing someone else's screenshot, I loaded mine, and surprise! They work well in V4 and v5! Been enjoying them much. Thank you!

No screenshots, yet. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Looking forward to your screenshots. :)

Yes, almost all Flight Replicas aircraft will work in P3Dv3, v4, and to a slightly lesser degree in v5 (unless the aircraft are specifically marked for a particular sim, like the latest Bf-109G-6 and the Buchon, for example). I've been meaning to put this on the website forever, but have never gotten around to it. Sorry about that. Always seems to be something else that needs doing first!

Mike

Nice, maybe refreshed version of Super Cub for v5 with 4K textures outside and inside? :)

Definitely having a detailed look at it. Fuselage textures in the above screenshot are in 4K.

Very nice to fly in v5. Can't wait to see what v5 looks and flies like like with real weather, such as from HiFi simulations.

Mike if You're working on refreshed version, is it possible to add some avionics to VC of F1? Like GNS 430, GNT 650 or G500? Something from modern fashion? :encouragement:
