Frame Hog!

Good thoughts,...

..., Gav and Pepe.

I'll post the plane 'as is' for a simple AI. As long as you don't get too close to her, she'll work in that role. Since she is a CFS2 native aircraft, as opposed to a conversion, and is LOD, she has great FPS for a big aircraft.

If I had a Boulton-Paul turret part, I'd even plug those three turrets into one version and throw on a simple camo skin for a military AI....but I don't have the turret part and it would take too long to build one. (Take that back....I might have one around here somewhere....let me check on that.)

I cannot get motivated for the hours of labor needed to make this somewhat esoteric aircraft into a decent quality player piece. There's just not enough demand for something like this, and it would see very little use.

I will be glad to provide the modified source file to any designer who wants to take a crack at it.

PS Gav....I am starting a nice B-25C/D and looking into the possibility of a decent A-20....both in low FPS form.

She's POSTED...

I went ahead and uploaded the Clio as she is now for AI use. She should be available for download tomorrow. :gossip:

If anyone is interested in developing the model further, I will be happy to supply them with the original or my modified FSDS source file.

A good reskinning would do her good as well. :jump:

I just haven't got any more time to devote to her. :kilroy:

Respectfully, I disagree. We have a lot of BF109s, Spitfires, FWs etc but lack planes that fullfilled an important role in a decisive phase of WW2. I allways priorize some esoteric planes cause they are fun to fly and adds a lot of historic knowledge for simmers. Your plane is a VERY welcomed one.

Pepe, I understand...

...where you're coming from.

Maybe I just need a break from this somewhat frustrating little project. I promise to come back for another look shortly.

AND gedm looks to be fairly close to finishing a nice conversion* from FS2004.

* I know you never thought you'd hear me utter that word.

She's a beaut as an AI.

Got stuck with an escort mission this morning. Someone said the PM was on board. Don't know for sure, but there was a cloud of blueish cigar smoke trailing from the flying boat. I guess the flight crew must be on O2 for the duration.
