...........came across this great paint prog the other month and am gettin into it a lot
...has agreat "SKETCHBOOK" interface and many excellent features including LAYERS
......there is a FREE version and a PRO 119buck version
..but the FREE version isnt "nobbled" and only differs from the pro version by having less brushes(but you can buy brushes....neat eh)

Try this one.....

....at the Serif.com site. They publish PhotoPlus8, which is extremely similar to PhotoShop and they keep an older version on the site for FREE download without any strings. Been using it since 1999 without regret. You have to look around a bit to find the freebie, but it's always there somewhere. :gossip:
