Just a heads up. It seems Vulcan 558 is available freeware at Avsim.ru. It seems to be the Phoenix Simulation Software model.

Regards Paul Day.

I downloaded this and it's dang nice. Is this a "legit" freeware? Don't want any pirate stuff.

From aircraft.cfg:

description =copyright (c) 2003 Phoenix Simulation Software

no readme.

Just asking. :kilroy:

It seems that PSS ceased trading 16/01/2008 so i can't find out if it is .
legitamite. I know the site has uploaded payware models previously.

Thanks guys I found the model anybody know if this model has a parachute and how do you operate it thanks

It says when you go to downloak that it is FS2k2. Is this for that sim? Does it work in FS9 ok?

Thanks
Andrew

My version is the boxed Just flight one, made by PSS, and it is in the aircraft folder with the 2K2 suffix, so I guess it should be fine in 9, mine is.

The JF version comes with several variants aswell.

Oh, yeah the JF one comes with Cottesmore, from UK2000 Scenery. Very nice. You can get the UK2000 Waddo scenery in one of the free demo packs at Avsim I think, or hit their site, and download all the demos. Fully functioning bases, but a small selection of the larger packs. Worth every penny ;)

Can't get parachute to work maybe because effects were not included no smoke also but it is in aircraft cfg and no variants just Vulcan 558 great plane though.

Sorry, the scenery and variants are only available with the JF box, PSS made it, but they only sold 558 from their site. I think JF added the variants in-house. There's also Bluesteel and Skybolt variants :d

Sorry again, I added the smoke myself, using IRIS effect controller gauge and other payware effects. Maybe the chute was added by JF to their version only, works on mine. Try wingold before touchdown, and the chute may deploy on 'screech'?

Guys if you want the perfect scenery for Vulcans go to Ukmil and download Waddington Vulcan era it's around 1978 or so and I cant say enough about this scenery it is pure genious and blends in perfect with the planes
