Nick Black wrote me last week to say that he is working on releasing all the Mirage 2000s
of the Armée de l'Air. He will be doing this working with the scenery designers, AFCAD and
AI programmers, and beta testers at MAIW. He is releasing the project base-by-base in
seven seperate packages.

The seven packages will include the following airbases:
1) Dijon-Longvic and Al-Dhafra
2) Cambrai-Epinoy
3) Orange-Caritat
4) Nancy-Ochey
5) Luxeuil-St Sauveur
6) Istres-Le Tube
7) Mont de Marsan, Cazaux, and Djibouti

Well, the first package was released today for Dijon-Longvic and Al-Dhafra.
You can download it from the main page at Military AI Works.

Talk about hot off the press...the MAIW site updated with the new Mirages about 2 minutes after I went looking.
Off to France, then!
Merci, mon ami :salute:

I am very much awaiting Istres, too...

Absolutely fantastic news Frank! I have been waiting patiently for these Mirage 2000 ai packages for some time now. Made my day! Mike :wiggle:

It is always a pleasure to see you guys enjoying our stuff; Nick is great to work with and I really am lucky to be a beta tester for the MAIW team; There are more cool packages on the way soon!

I need some clarification; Do these packages include the bases, are they just for use with the MS standard bases, or do we have to DL those elsewhere?

...Sundog, are you referring to the Mirages? If so, the custom scenery is included as part of the package....

Mirage Fest!

Thanks guys, been waiting for these...

I just love the way Nick Black makes them taxi with the canopy cracked open!

Nick only made the F1's, not the M2000's. That would be Fernando Martinez. I think we might get Nick to admit that he got the idea for the F1's from looking at the M2000's.

I have just finished installing this package in my FSX Acceleration in DirectX9 mode.

I'm very pleased with the result.:jump:

Due to the late time here, I could not spend enough time in the sim so I haven't seen any plane flying around. However, I could see that the Dijon airbase displays perfectly.

The one and only visual problem I could see so far is the canopies of the planes on the ground. Typical FSX problem with FS9 planes, but it can be solved easilly.

HUGE thanks to the MAIW guys responsible for this package and the future releases. :ernae:

Thanks for the HU! :ernae:
And Daube didn't even need to ask! :d (Sorry Daube, couldn't resist)
