Frieda Airstrip in the house - Non-bushwackers need not apply.

Just upoaded here in the library.

This airfield is managed by Frieda Copper Ltd in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:country-region><st1:place>Papua New Guinea</st1:place></st1:country-region> and is used mostly as remote air freight hub for movement of mining equipment and personnel. There are four exploration sites with landable bamboo helipads within vicinity of airfield which are accessed only by company helicopters. There are animals, birds in flight, sounds, night lighting effects, animation, custom rwy, apron and vegetation, etc. Read the README carefully as there are separate installation instructions for payware owners and non-owners of "Raw Grit: PNG Bushpilot" and "Extreme Bush Trekker" (or combo pack). This is a stand-alone freeware so it doesn't matter if you don't have the commercial combo pack.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>

Very cool, looks great! Thanks for the gift!! :ernae:

I'm trying to find the file but I'm getting nowhere....
What/where is the name of the file? Thanks...:salute:

That's one of the most realistic looking jungle airstrips I have seen! A very nice job!

Nothing, it is just a blank page with a notice telling me there is nothing to display. I have yet to be able to understand the exact workings of the Addon Library, If I upload something, it shows immediately as a new item, but no one else sees it. A few days later, it will show as a new item, but also show in the regular downloads section, one showing no downloads, the other showing 40, lol.

More often than not though, if I'm looking for someone else's upload, I'll get nothing but the notice I got from your link. Oh well!

That is odd, when I click the link this is what I get.

I'll see what the admins make of this.

OK, I just checked in the library and it's there. Click on the "Add-Ons Library" way at the top of the forum and select "Whats New" and you'll be able to see it and download.

Ok, clicked on addons library-what's new. The top listing is ME_89 Buzzy's Field submitted on 3 May and no sign of Frieda airstrip on the first or second page.

Looks like we may have to wait for it to filter through the approval process.

...and here's a real-world video of what this scenery is based on.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2qI99Jftbs&NR=1

Btw, the twotter seen in the video is from Hevilift, a branch off of Regional Pacific based in Australia. The paint scheme is similar except for registration and company names. If you like the colors, and have the Aerosoft twotter, then go grab it from the download library at http://aussiex.org/forum/. Thanks Titus and Ozx for the paint.

Enjoy!

My pleasure, Jon. ..and thanks to everyone for your appreciation as well. It's something to give back to the community... I hope to get at least one done every other month or 3. Btw, I learnt alot from Bill Womack's tutorials and Fr. Bill's advise. The runway part was from Bill's plum island tut. Simply stated, I stand on many forebearers' shoulders.

Kind Regards,
Graham

Ok this is really cool the little details like the fans turning in the building and luggage carts.
WOW! Great job.Thanks.
