Hi,
I loaded ETO V3 and it really looks good ---until I try to Fly a plane which causes a blackout PC crash! Any and all planes produce the same result. Over a period of the last few days I tried everything . I believe I intalled it according to plan, and I got around the zapper [viris] problem, by using AvH nuker zapper but no luck. I deinstalled all 3 parts ETO and started from scratch. with re installation. I found that V.1 and V.2 work OK, so the problem is V.3.
Any body had this problem? Its likely some thing I missed.

What OS are you using?

If Vista or Window 7, then certain things need be done. There are one or two stickies around here for that.

1. Did you read ALL of the readmes?

2. When exactly is it crashing in Quick Combat?

3. Can you fly any of the missions?

4. Before installation, did you start ETO in Era 1 and exit the sim, and then set the ETO Spawn Selector to 1, Stock Spawn Mode?

You MUST follow READMES 01 and 02 religiously, or there may well be problems.

Also, check this out:

Under the Quick Combat tab, you have several choices: Free Flight, Dogfight, Intercept, Escort, and Ground attack.

No matter which of these you select, you have to select everything needed on the left, as well, such as Aircraft, Location, and Pilot for Free Flight, or the addition of Skill and Fighter for Dogfight.

If any of these choices are left blank when you click FLY, the game will crash.

Also, if you switch Eras, please take a close look at Location. If you were at a particular airfield in one Era, the same field may not even exist in the new Era.

If the Location window on the left side of the screen contains several lower-case letters and as many as four digits, with no spaces, appearing as one word, DO NOT CLICK FLY! This means that no airfield has been chosen. Simply select an airfield before clicking FLY.
